There are lots of events taking place around Cumbria and the Lake District over the Easter period. As you would expect, there are lots of children’s activities from Easter eggs hunts at Ennerdale and Buttermere, to Pom Pom making at Penrith and my favourites, children with teddies go free at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, Muncaster Castle and on the Ullswater Steamers. http://www.golakes.co.uk/things-to-do/whats-on.aspx
Adults have not been forgotten, there are sailing courses on Windermere during the weeks leading up to and after Easter, a Taste Cumbria event over Easter weekend at Kirkby Lonsdale and Carlisle Races holds an Easter meeting on April 15th. In Keswick, the National Trust are having an open day for Derwent Island and House https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/borrowdale-and-derwent-water/features/derwent-island-and-house These don’t happen very often, so a chance not to be missed.
If you want to visit and need accommodation over this period, we have availability at Grizedale Close, Latrigg View and Lilac Cottage starting 15th April and would welcome you for a week long stay or a short break – see our availability pages on the website or contact Angela to book on 01768 201042.
