Derwent Cottage is a modern town house within a quiet, residential courtyard a couple of minutes’ level walk from the shopping area and within easy walking distance of Derwentwater. The house has been refurbished to a high standard with new kitchen, bathroom and appliances. The furniture and decoration is all new, clean and fresh. It is a warm and cosy base for your holiday with full gas central heating and constant hot water supply from a combi boiler. There is free Wi-fi available for guests’ use.
Accommodation
The front door leads into a small hallway with coat hooks, a shoe storage area and stairs up to the bedrooms. The kitchen is light and airy and has a good range of well-equipped units and kitchen utensils. Appliances include a refrigerator/freezer, washing machine/tumble drier, microwave, electric oven, gas hob and extractor hood and slow cooker.
The lounge/diner has a TV, DVD, DAB radio, comfortable seating and dining table to seat 4. Patio doors look out over a small lawned area and open gardens around Elm Court.
The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail.
Bedrooms consist of one dual aspect double with views over the River Greta and beyond to Portinscale and one twin with built in wardrobe. All beds have duvets and linen is provided, along with a hair dryer.
Guests generally bring their own towels (arrangements can be made for towels to be provided if required).
Dogs are very welcome provided that they are never left alone in the property.
