Consistently accredited with Visit England 4* Gold Award, Lilac Cottage is a delightful, modern house within a quiet, residential courtyard a couple of minutes’ level walk from the centre of Keswick and within easy walking distance of Derwentwater. It has a fabulous kitchen/dining room, large living room and has contemporary and tasteful furnishings throughout. It is warm and cosy with full gas central heating and constant hot water. .

Property Details

The front door leads into a small hallway with coat hooks and shoe storage area. There is an open plan kitchen/diner. The kitchen has a good range of well-equipped units and kitchen utensils. Appliances include a refrigerator/freezer, washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, gas hob and extractor hood, slow cooker and Bluetooth CD/digital radio.

The large living room has a Smart TV, DVD, electric fire and comfortable sofas. Patio doors look out over a small lawned area and open gardens around Elm Court. Folding chairs and table are provided for use on the small patio.

The fully tiled bathroom has a bath with mains shower over, toilet, hand basin, towel rail and shaver point.

Bedrooms consist of one kingsize double with oak wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinets and one twin bedroom with built in wardrobe and chest of drawers. All beds have duvets, and linens, hair dryer and towels are provided.

There is free wi-fi available.

Lilac Cottage has a dedicated parking space in the car park at Elm Court.

First time visitors to Lilac Cottage. Fabulous property. Small, quiet, part residential area within 5 minutes easy stroll of town centre. Very well equipped. Some useful small complimentary grocery/cooking/cleaning products provided, saving you taking your own, which was appreciated. Ideal for a couple who want a little bit of space! Parking spot invaluable. Booked again for next year!

Lilac Cottage was most comfortable, welcoming and warm and cosy especially when we opened the front door after a full day out….the cottage is .easy to manage…an enjoyable , relaxing few days holiday. We really would have liked better lighting in the lounge though. The light was poor for doing a jigsaw puzzle and for reading which we wanted to do in the evening. We didn’t bother with the television at all … gave it a rest this time!

We have stayed at Lilac Cottage 6 times now and it never fails to deliver. It is in a perfect location, very quiet and only a few minutes walk into the centre of Keswick. You have a desinated parking spot which is a bonus. The cottage is very clean and has all the amenities you need. Aimee is an excellent owner and all information is given in a timely manner. We will definitely be back again next year.

The accommodation is in a super location within a few minutes walk of the town centre. It is well appointed, spotlessly clean and was just what we were looking for. We love the North Lakes and Lilac Cottage provided a good location to base our walking from. The cottage has very comfortable beds. We were supprised by one or two minor omissions such as a hair dryer, but overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend. A few + points include great location for Booths, E vehicle charging and busses, the latter 2 should appeal to people interested in their eco footprint.

This is a lovely comfortable cottage stayed in this before and has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Disappointed that it is booked up for our week next year and the price increase of £100 .compared to this year .

Centrally located in the heart of Keswick with its own allocated parking bay. All amenities close by. The cottage its self was clean and well equipped everything you need for a lovely stay. Beds comfy, shower had hot water on demand. Would definitely stay again..

We absolutely loved our stay at Lilac Cottage. It was the perfect location for us being near the bus station, supermarket and town centre. It is very well kept and spotlessly clean, we really felt at home there. We suggest the following:- bins in the bedrooms and more towels would be nice and were surprised by how few sockets there were. Apart from that it was perfect.. What a lovely house. It felt like a real home from home where could relax after a day out. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The town centre, bus terminus and major supermarket were just around the corner. Could not have asked for a better location. We’ll worth the money.

This is the 5th time we have visited Lilac Cottage and it never fails to disappoint. It’s in a great location…a 2 minute walk into centre of Keswick but still very quiet. The cottage has all the amenities you need and is clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to cutshort our holiday but will be back next year.

We are just back home after a wonderful 2 weeks in Lilac Cottage. As always the Cottage was sparkling clean and extremely well equipped. Any queries were very swiftly dealt with by Aimee Messenger. In fact we have had such a good time that we have booked to go back next year so I think that says it all.
