Otterbield is a wonderful top floor apartment in Derwent House in Portinscale. It has many original features offering a unique place to stay for two people, with outstanding views of Derwentwater.

Property Details

Utilising all of the roof space, please note that some areas of the apartment have restricted headroom.

It has a double bedroom with stunning views down Derwentwater and across the fells. There is a bespoke headboard and a separate wardobe area. The brand new large bathroom has a bath with shower over and contemporary fittings.

The living space is modern and quirky, with exposed roof beams and plenty of character. The kitchen is well equipped with quality units and a bespoke breakfast bar and two high stools. There is an excellent range of utensils and equipment; crockery and glassware. It has a refrigerator and freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is a separate utility area with a washer/dryer.

The lounge also has spectacular views. It has a sofa, contemporary furniture and seating area by the window for reading or quiet contemplation. The Smart TV and full commercial grade broadband make it a wonderful base for your stay, whatever the time of year.

The bed has hypoallergenic duvets and pillows and good quality bedlinen. Towels are provided for guests use and a hairdryer is available.

The top floor location means the apartment is best suited to adult visitors.

Derwent House is located just over the Portinscale bridge, around a 15 minute walk into Keswick in a quiet village location on the round Derwentwater walking route. Close to the popular Chalet tea rooms, it is a five minute stroll to the lake, Derwentwater Marina and Nichol End boat hire and 15 minute stroll to the Lingholm kitchen and gardens.

Otterbield is a beautiful, peaceful space, with lovely views. The apartment has been renovated to a high standard, with everything you might need for a few days in the lakes. Only a 15 minute walk into Keswick so there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurant options. Perfect base for walking too.
