Perfect for couples, families or friends, the apartment offers contemporary accommodation within a traditional Lakeland building, just a short walk from Derwentwater and within easy reach of Keswick.

The open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with views of Derwentwater provides a bright and relaxing space to unwind after a day exploring the Lake District. The well-equipped kitchen includes everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay, with modern appliances including electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The living area features comfortable seating, Smart TV and dining table for four, creating a welcoming space for both short breaks and longer stays.

Victoria offers two double bedrooms, both with dressing tables and wardrobes. The dual aspect master bedroom enjoys lovely views towards Derwentwater and the surrounding fells, while the second bedroom provides comfortable accommodation for additional guests. The apartment benefits from on-road parking outside and is ideally positioned on the popular Derwentwater walking route. The lake, Derwentwater Marina and Nichol End boat hire are just a five-minute stroll away, while Keswick town centre, with its shops, restaurants and attractions, is around a 15-minute walk across Portinscale bridge. The popular Chalet tearooms and Lingholm Kitchen & Walled Garden are also within easy walking distance.

Accommodation was very good, comfortable, peaceful and pleasant. Portinscale was an ideal location for walking, running, autumn colour, and very large scones at Nicol End Marine. Keswick Holiday Homes staff were also excellent.

Lovely apartment with a fantastic view, we had a great stay. Communications pre-stay were great. Sorry it took us a few tries to get the door code system to work! Regarding things that could make it perfect: the saucepans have had their non-stick worn off so are quite a challenge to clean. Also if the towel rail in the bathroom could be switched on that would help. Thanks for providing fundamentals like washing tablets, dishwasher tablets etc its amazing how rare it is to find these at rentals!

Once we entered the apartment it was clear it was really lovely and well equipped etc. However it would be great if the common entrance/stairs could be given some attention as it not only seemed a bit shabby but also there was an unpleasant smell – maybe the carpets – and as that is the first impression for people it is not the best. Otherwise as I have said the accommodation was fab. Thank you.

The apartment was great and was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The booking reservation mentioned we could park in the street, however the information in the apartment advised that the first 3 parking spaces behind the apartments could be used. We parked in the street the first night, but couldn’t get parked in the street the next night, probably not helped by a coach being parked outside the Derwent Hotel with traffic cones all around it. So we used the spaces behind the apartment and this did seem to pose any problems for anyone. If it is acceptable to use the 3 spaces, maybe this should be mentioned in the booking reservation e-mail that is sent. This is not a big issue, but would have been helpful to know if we correct in parking there.

Lovely high-spec property. Well situated for Keswick and surrounds. Very comfortable, with lots of helpful touches (milk, dishwasher tabs etc) as well as a fabulous information folder. Would definitely return and highly recommend

This a gorgeous flat with views of Derwent water, and an easy walk into Keswick. The flat is warm and well furnished. A great base for exploring the north lakes.

Had an excellent stay at Victoria Apartment, Derwent House. Lovely apartment, wonderfully furnished and very clean. Great location, within walking distance of Keswick centre and close to some of the best walks in the Lakes!
