20 Greta Grove House is a fantastic property. It offers large, bright accommodation, with excellent fixtures and fittings and wonderful views. It is a large two bedroom, two bathroom second floor apartment in the very popular Greta Grove House. The triple aspect lounge/diner boasts fabulous views over the River Greta towards the Skiddaw range and it has the benefit of a passenger lift for easy access.

Property Details

The front door leads to a large L shaped hallway with electronic building access and a hall cupboard for coat and shoe storage.

Newly fitted kitchen, and has an excellent range of utensils and equipment; crockery and glassware. It has a refrigerator and freezer, washing machine with tumble drier, electric oven and hob, microwave, slow cooker and dishwasher.

The triple aspect lounge/dining room has spectacular views over the River Greta and the Howrahs, to Latrigg and the Skiddaw range beyond. It has two sofas, a dining table and chairs for 4, Smart TV, digital radio and an electric fire.

Bedrooms consist of two double bedrooms. The master has a king size bed, double wardrobe and dressing table and an ensuite with a toilet, wash hand basin and electric shower. The second bedroom is also a double room with a built in cupboard with hanging space.

All beds have hypoallergenic duvets and pillows and good quality bedlinen. Towels are provided for guests and there is a hairdryer in each bedroom.

The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet, wash hand basin and shaver point.

The bed configuration and top floor location mean the apartment is best suited to adult visitors.

Greta Grove House is a quiet, low rise building with well-kept communal grounds, very close to the centre of Keswick. Booths supermarket is a minute’s walk away and you can be at Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake in 10 minutes. The apartment has a numbered parking space.

A modern second floor spacious apartment. The kitchen was newly fitted with good quality appliances. The crockery, utensils, glasses etc were also good quality and new. The ensuite and bathroom seemed quite new, modern and well fitted. The bedrooms were spacious and the bedding was again good quality. The views from all the windows were stunning. We will definitely stay here again if possible.

Our apartment was great in many ways. Immaculately clean, excellent kitchen utensils and quality. Nice bedding & towels. We would definitely recommend and hope to come back ourselves. Our suggestion if at all helpful are : slightly bigger Tele, Lamp in all way ( especially dark winter months) and ensuite toilet flush is temperamental with loose handle flush. Hope the above helps. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms a good size. There is private parking and a lift, perfect for anyone with mobility problems and useful when you first arrive with cases. The communication with the company is straightforward. This is our second time staying with this company and would not hesitate to book again.

Skiddaw at Greta House is our favourite place to stay in Keswick. The apartment is beautifully furnished and maintained to a high standard throughout. It has comfortable beds with quality linen, excellent bathrooms, a lovely lounge and a well appointed kitchen. In fact we could live here all year round! The only improvement we might suggest would be to provide a slightly larger TV

Disappointed there was no starter pack with some biscuits and tea/coffee in when we arrived as there has always been in the past particularly as we arrived later in the day after a long journey. Also, the bathroom fan was still broken from last year and had no cover on it so was rather unsightly. A new kitchen had been put in and the filter above the cooker fell off twice in the food being cooked. The magnets are not strong enough to keep it on. Finally, the water was highly chlorinated so had to stop drinking it immediately. Very drying on the skin too. Other than that the place was peaceful and comfortable.

We had a wonderful time in the accommodation. The facilities suited our needs. However, we think the heater was timed in reverse. Heater is working during the day but not at night.

This is the second apartment that we have stayed at in this block. We just love the location, the views and the layout of the apartments. No 20 is decorated and equipped to a high standard. The kitchen has a great selection of pots, pans and utensils. Plenty of cutlery, mugs and plates which is sometimes lacking in some holiday rentals. We only used the main bedroom. We found the mattress a bit too firm for us, but that’s just a preference. The pillows have waterproof covers on them which means that they blow up like a balloon when you put your head on them as the air is slow to escape. Swapping the pillows over resolved this. Everything is clean and maintained. We reported faulty extractor fans, but this is already being dealt with apparently. A couple of other niggles have also been reported. The parking is easy with plenty of room for larger cars. Booths supermarket is 5 minutes walk, and the town centre just beyond that. We find it a great base for walking around the nearby mountain ranges and lakes. This is the 4th year in a row that we have holidayed in Keswick. Just love it. Will hopefully be back again next year. Maybe to the same apartment. Thanks KHH team.

The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Cleanliness was good and we slept well too. Parking very handy as was the lift to the second floor. Great base for a walking holiday in and around Keswick.

We have stayed in Keswick many times over the years and this is certainly one of the best holiday accommodations we have stayed in. The kitchen utensils were of a very high quality, the apartment was very comfortable with lovely views and its location was brilliant. We will be back.
