This welcoming property, once was part of the original Pencil Mill dating back to the nineteenth century, sits on the banks of the River Greta. It enjoys fantastic views across Keswick from the lounge and over Fitz Park and to the impressive Skiddaw Range from the bedroom.
It is a short walk into the heart of town or across the Knightsbridge to Fitz Park and the fells beyond; Derwentwater and the Theatre By The Lake is a 10 minute walk away.
The apartment is on the first floor and is accessed via external stairs.
The front door leads to a welcoming and comfortable lounge/diner with views over the roof tops of Keswick and the fells beyond. It has a new two-seater sofa and armchair (Dec 21), side tables, Smart TV and DVD player, Radio and folding dining table and two chairs. It has a collection of maps and books for guests to browse.
There is a sliding door to the compact kitchen which is equipped with a range of utensils and equipment including an electric cooker, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, cafetiere and slow cooker.
The hallway has space for coats and leads to the bathroom and double bedroom. Recently refurbished, the bathroom is fully tiled, has a bath with electric shower over, sink, toilet and heated towel rail.
The bedroom has a very comfortable double bed with a duvet and high quality linens and a wardrobe with drawers, shelf and hanging space. The bedroom has a fantastic view over the River Greta below, Fitz Park and the Skiddaw mountain range.
The apartment is heated via a combination of storage radiator in the lounge and an electric radiator in the bedroom with an additional freestanding electric heater available. Hot water is on a timer, with quick boost facility. Towels are provided for guests.
Please note, the apartment does not have a washing machine, but there is a launderette two minutes’ walk away if required.
Greta Side Court is a quiet, low rise building with gated parking area. It is very close to the centre of Keswick. Booths supermarket and the Co-Op is a 5-minute walk away and you can be at Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake in 10 minutes.
There is private parking for one car, subject to availability.

‘Great location close to the centre of Keswick. The apartment was spotless with covid precautions evident . Private parking place was a bonus. The kitchen had everything you would need for a breakaway. Although only a one bedroom apartment the space throughout was great for the two of us . The view in the morning from the bedroom window across the river and cricket field to the mountains in the distance , was fantastic’
