Derwent Cottage is a contemporary town house within a quiet, residential courtyard a couple of minutes’ level walk from the shopping area and within easy walking distance of Derwentwater.  Newly decorated throughout, the fresh interiors and decor provide an excellent base for your holiday. 


The front door leads into a bright hallway with coat hooks, a shoe storage area and stairs up to the bedrooms. The kitchen is light and airy and has a good range of well-equipped units , kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery.  Appliances include a refrigerator/freezer, washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven and hob, extractor hood and slow cooker.

The lounge/diner has a contemporary feel, with new sofa and two armchairs, a round glass dining  table and four chairs.  There is a Smart TV and Talk Talk TV Box with additional channels, DAB radio with Bluetooth facility and full wi-fi access. Patio doors look out over a small lawned area and communal open gardens around Elm Court.  There is a patio table and chairs for guests use. The grounds are often visited by the local ducks and pheasants from the nearby river bank.

The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, toilet, hand basin,  heated towel rail, new laminate flooring.

Bedrooms consist of one dual aspect master bedroom with super king size bed. The views stretch over the River Greta and beyond to Portinscale and Skiddaw. There is a lovely oak wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside Units.  The twin bedroom has a built in wardrobe and small vanity unit. Luggage stands are available in both bedrooms. All beds have duvets and towels are  provided, along with a hair dryer.

Dogs are very welcome provided that they are never left alone in the property.

There is full gas central heating and constant hot water supply from a combi boiler.
