Derwent Cottage is a modern town house within a quiet, residential courtyard a couple of minutes’ level walk from the shopping area and within easy walking distance of Derwentwater. The house is a warm and cosy base for your holiday with full gas central heating and constant hot water supply from a combi boiler. There is free Wi-fi available for guests’ use.
The house is due a full redecoration and new furniture during Autumn 2021, ready for the 2022 season.
The front door leads into a hallway with coat hooks, a shoe storage area and stairs up to the bedrooms. The kitchen is light and airy and has a good range of well-equipped units , kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. Appliances include a refrigerator/freezer, washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven and hob, extractor hood and slow cooker.
The lounge/diner has a brand new Smart TV and Talk Talk TV Box with additional channels, DAB radio, comfortable seating and dining table to seat 4 people. Patio doors look out over a small lawned area and communal open gardens around Elm Court. The grounds are often visited by the local ducks and pheasants from the nearby river bank.
The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail.
Bedrooms consist of one dual aspect double with views over the River Greta and beyond to Portinscale. There are lovely oak wardrobe and chest of drawers and bedside Units. The twin with bedroom has a built in wardrobe and small vanity unit. Luggage stands are available in both bedrooms. All beds have duvets and towels are provided, along with a hair dryer.
Dogs are very welcome provided that they are never left alone in the property.
