We are delighted to welcome back Derwent Cottage to our property portfolio in Keswick. Derwent Cottage is a contemporary town house within a quiet, residential courtyard a couple of minutes walk from the shopping area and within easy walking distance of Derwentwater, Theatre by the Lake and the fells beyond. The stylish, fresh interior and central location provide an excellent base for your holiday.

Property Details

The front door leads into a bright hallway with coat hooks, a shoe storage area and stairs up to the bedrooms. The kitchen is light and airy and has a good range of well-equipped units , kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. Appliances include a refrigerator/freezer, washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven and hob, extractor hood and slow cooker.

The lounge/diner has a contemporary feel, with new sofa and two armchairs, a round glass dining table and four chairs. There is a wall mounted Smart TV, DAB radio with Bluetooth facility and full wi-fi access. Patio doors look out over a small lawned area and communal open gardens around Elm Court. There is a patio table and chairs for guests use. The grounds are often visited by the local ducks and pheasants from the nearby river bank.

The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, toilet, hand basin, heated towel rail and laminate flooring.

Bedrooms consist of one dual aspect master bedroom with super king size bed. The views stretch over the River Greta and beyond to Portinscale and Skiddaw. There is a lovely oak wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside Units. The twin bedroom has a built in wardrobe and small vanity unit. Luggage stands are available in both bedrooms. All beds have duvets and towels are provided, along with a hair dryer.

Your dog is very welcome provided that they are never left alone in the property.

Derwent Cottage has a dedicated large car parking space in the Elm Court car park.

We have used Keswick Holiday Homes several times but this was our first stay in Derwent Cottage. It did not disappoint. Cottage was equipped to a high standard with good quality furniture. The beds were extremely comfortable and loved the Lucy Pittaway pictures! It was great that the TV had Netflix and Prime, a nice way to unwind after a day of long walks! We love staying in this area as its such a good location. No climbs this time but we enjoyed Whinlatter Forest, Derwent water lake walk, Grasmere and Ambleside. Aimee is most helpful and I always recommend Keswick Holiday Homes because of this. We will be back soon.

Immaculately clean and well presented. Beds are super comfy. Kitchen well equipped. Good water pressure for showering. Fantastic central location with allocated parking. Only negative would be television is not easy to work and information in booklet provided is needing to be updated as not for current television

We stayed in Derwent Cottage which is just behind the Keswick bus Station. It is an ideal location just 2 minutes walk to the centre of Keswick and a little longer walk to Derwentwater. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Allocated parking next to the property was an additional benefit. We will definitely return to this property or to another property let through Keswick Holiday Homes

Derwent Cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped and perfectly located. Definitely would stay again but it is already booked for next year. Only struggle was the tv in SMART mode. Could only (just) use YouTube. Problem with the Bandwidth apparently. The instructions in the folder were for a JVC tv but the tv in the cottage was an LG. But the poor streaming didn’t spoil our stay . Always prefer to book with Keswick Holiday Homes, Aimee is very approachable and helpful.
