We have had a busy start to the new year, with lots of enquiries from old friends who have visited our cottages many times and new guests getting in touch with Keswick Holiday Homes for the first time. The summer months are already looking busy, but don’t worry, having our newer properties on board means that we can still accommodate you for your well earned break in beautiful Keswick.

We are particularly happy to introduce Felltops as our newest property. It is a wonderfully peaceful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom elegant apartment in Elliott Park and boats spectacular views from all sides. We are sure that it will become a real favourite with our visitors as they get to know it and see the effort and lovely touches the new owners have put into its furnishings and fixtures. To celebrate it opening with us, we are offering a £50 discount on any February or March 2018 week booked. We will deduct £50 off the internet price at time of booking as a thank you and welcome.

We have also seen some improvement work going on over the winter period, Most notably with a brand new bathroom being installed in Lilac Cottage. It has a great new luxurious feel with a more powerful mains shower and improved lighting – we are sure that you will approve.

February Half Term and Activities in March

There are lots of activities planned for half term over the 2 weeks starting Saturday 10th February, from many different productions at Theatre By The Lake to showings of Paddington 2 at the Alhambra Cinema to the opportunity to learn archery at the Rheghed centre. Our favourite so far is the family tree planting day at Whinlatter, planned for 15th February. See the Keswick Tourism website for more details here.

Its not too late to book a last minute half term break in keswick and we still have some availability at 3 Grizedale Close, Derwent Cottage and Felltops. Check out our availability pages for more details.

From Friday, 9th to Sunday, 18th March writers and readers get together to share the pleasure of books, words and ideas. There are talks, lectures, discussions, workshops, book launches and special exhibitions.

This year you can see Terry Waite, royal expert Penny Junor and Claire Tomalin to name but three.

You can download the programme from the Ways with Words website and tickets can be purchased from the Theatre by the Lake website.

Easter

With Easter early this year, it is also not far away. We have plenty of availability at the moment so do please get in touch if you would like to book.

Dog Friendly

Just a reminder that several of our properties are happy to accept your dog joining you for your holiday, 3 Grizedale Close, Derwent Cottage and Riverside View are all pet friendly so there is no need to leave them at home. There is also a new website outlining dog friendly activities in the Lakes and also attractions, cafes and pubs where they are welcomed. For more details, see here

Finally, we would welcome any feedback on our website and ideas for what type of news and information you would like to hear from us or to help you make decisions about your holiday. Please do get in touch if  you have ideas for improvements we can make.
