Like everyone, we have our fingers crossed that the government roadmap re-opening after the current Covid lockdown will stay on track and we can start to welcome guests again from 12th April. We are sure you are eager to get back to the lakes and hills.

We haven’t been twiddling our thumbs during the lockdown, many or our properties have had a freshen up of decoration in the last few weeks. New hall carpet and blinds in Latrigg View, new curtains and fresh paint in Riverside View, Lilac Cottage and 16 Greta Grove House.  Some upgrades have taken place to electrics, plumbing and fire systems across the properties and Catbells is having  new electric heating installed this month, replacing the old storage heaters. We have also taken the opportunity to get annual jobs done like carpet cleaning, gas safety checks and PAT testing. We will be ready as welcome you back as soon as we are able.

We are also pleased to confirm that Derwent Cottage, Riverside View and Latrigg View have been inspected by Cumbria Tourism and have gained accreditation for the coming year.  Felltops, 3 Grizedale Close and Lilac Cottage were successfully inspected in December by Visit England and remain at 4 Star.

During the last week, we have had a significant increase in enquiries and bookings and the summer period especially, is beginning to fill up. There is still some availability, but don’t leave it too late to book and lose out on dates you may be thinking about. We will continue with our flexible response to Covid by offering a reschedule or refund if Covid restrictions mean that you are unable to travel for your holiday so you cab book with confidence.
